The 3 Things Buyers Look for in a Home

There are three basic things that buyers most often look for in a listing.

As a seller, one of the most important things you need to know when listing your home is what buyers are looking for in a property.

Today, I’d like to let you in on the three things buyers most often notice:

  1. Curb appeal. First impressions are extremely important. So, the exterior of your home will make a big difference on a buyer’s opinion. A couple of easy ways to boost curb appeal are to mow your lawn and plant some flowers so that everything will look as well-kempt on the outside as it should inside.
  2. Decluttered space. When a buyer views a home, they’re imagining their life there. And that means that they’re thinking about their belongings within the space. If the home you’re listing has a lot of clutter, it will look less spacious, and therefore less appealing, to potential buyers.
  3. Updates. Something that can set a home listing apart from others is whether or not it’s been updated. Things like updated kitchens and bathrooms, new garage doors, and even a new front door, will all be major selling points for people viewing your home.
